Thinking about spending scads of cash to learn at film school what you could possibly learn for free - or even eventually get paid to?
I'm recovering from three grueling months at a top (and top-priced) film school, putting in over 100 hours per week to learn and to create. Going through the process helped me to realize two things. 1) I must really love this, or I would just forget the whole thing. 2) I can learn this "on my own" just as effectively.
OK.... Not really on my own. I have the benefit of being connected in several ways to the industry and have incredible mentors who are passionate about what they do, who are willing to invest the time to teach me everything I need to know.
